Tonight I did a simple meal that my daughter and I both enjoyed. Barber foods gets a thumbs up from me for their deeelicious Cordon Bleu. Its was ready in less than an hour and I cooked me ratatouille right beside it on a baking sheet. Great dinner

Trauma = cooking
This was a very rough week for me emotionally so of course I dove into FOOD! I wanted to honor a recent visit to Razoo's which by the way is deeelicious. So here's what I came up with; 2 days of seafood and good drinks. I found my crawfish at Harris Teeter by Great fish Co. Made this stressed girl feel one specific emotion. . HAPPINESS. Enjoy peeps

My youth
One of my first jobs, I worked in the concession stand at a softball field. We made things like burritos, nachos and burgers. We served sodas and snacks etc. The other day I revisited my youth by making burrito meat. Now the excellent thing about this especially for a single parent is that those burritos can be made throughout the week. Saving both time and money. Also being able to control what goes into my child's mouth is a great thibg to check off my weekly list. Here are a few pictures. Enjoy Peeps

Eternal Reunion
In utter shock, I heard of your passing. Filled with emotion, why? I began asking.. Words can not express the sadness that overwhelmed me. Tears gushed down my face, I couldn't breath, I could hardly see. Some things in life are truly unexplained. Others are spoken or yelled out in the rain. God knows I have faith that you are at peace. So I reach for my paper to get some relief. As I began to write and the words flow. There are a few things I want you to know....
Never doubt that your boys will be blessed. Understand family will take care of the rest. I guarantee our hearts will never forget you. Your passing will push us to be better than when we met you. You changed lives on Earth as you brought light like the sun. I will patiently wait for our Eternal Reunion.
I love you both. Jesus Rojas Bridgez Dominguez

Vacation
I've been on vacation for a couple of weeks. It's great having the option to do so while unemployed. I have been meaning to post but . . . Well you know how vacation is. I have to give a huge S/O to Liquorama. I ordered a couple of bottles of wine, including the delicious Fresita and Dave was kind enough to send me a hand written note and a bottle of complimentary wine.. when's the last time you got a gift? Any who #daverocks btw I don't usually choose asti but that Stella Rosa was as bubbly as an Italian Grandma! Loved it
